Beaches are the mainstay of our lifestyle at the Jersey Shore. You can easily walk to free ocean beaches at Sandy Hook. Unguarded beaches are free and walk-ons to Sandy Hook's guarded beaches are also free. Highlands also offers two guarded river beaches that are free: the Community Center beach and the Miller Street Beach.

At The Beach House, the Twin Lights of Navesink and Sandy Hook Lighthouse are just minutes away. We can't think of anywhere else quite like this.
Marinas
In addition to Sandy Hook Beach, local bay beaches, and Hartshorne Woods Park, Highlands offers a multitude of private recreation options. Try renting a boat for the day or docking your own in one of our marinas.

Academy bus offers daily nearly door-to-door commuting to and from Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.
You can count on New Jersey Transit for local bus routes to Red Bank. You can always transfer to trains for a one seat ride Penn Station.
